Le Mûrier de Viels is a 3-star hotel located in the Lot valley near Figeac with a restaurant and a swimming pool. It has established a reputation over the years as a location which provides the perfect antidote to the stress of modern life.
The hotel is named after a 250 year old ‘Murier’ (Mulberry) tree that thrives outside our restaurant. It was brought here from Japan by 2 brothers and has been bearing fruit ever since. Viels is the hamlet in which we live and consists of us and our 3 neighbours.
The hotel has seven en suite bedrooms in 3 separate Quercy-stone buildings.
The swimming pool is for the use of all hotel and gîte guests.
Before dining in our restaurant, guests can enjoy an aperitif at our small bar. The restaurant itself seats up to 25 people and opens onto a terrace which has magnificent views over the Lot Valley.
Alternatively have your meal on the terrace and watch the sun go down over the Lot Valley and its river.
"La Source" (named after the natural spring found here). The spring has great historical significance, having been used as a clandestine place of baptism during the Revolution.
