Activities
The area around Le Mûrier de Viels has something for everyone. For the more energetic, boating, water-skiing and fishing are all available on the river. On dry land, the countryside is perfect for hiking, cycling and horse riding (there is an equestrian centre nearby), and there are tennis courts at both Figeac and Capdenac. Le Mûrier de Viels itself has a small fitness centre and a swimming pool. There are plenty of walks from the hotel and an ancient pathway leads down to the river with its abundant bird life.
Le Mûrier de Viels is perfectly situated for exploring the Lot Valley and the southern Dordogne. The town of Figeac - known as the "Ville d’Art et d’Histoire" - is close by. It has an historic museum with a reproduction of the Rosetta Stone set in granite.
